Rucker earned this award, from the federal government IT news and events provider, for driving innovation, advancing the nation’s cybersecurity, and making significant contributions across cyber programs in Federal IT.
“I am once again humbled to be recognized as a cyber defender and associated with this amazing group of leaders,” said Rucker. “This mission is so vitally critical to our government, and I feel privileged to have the opportunity to contribute to it. This is a wonderful recognition for me, but also for the tremendous work being done by the TGS team to innovate in the federal cybersecurity space.”
Rucker will receive the award at MeriTalk’s Cyber Central event on May 17 and Cyber Smoke event on May 18.
“These leaders are advancing security initiatives impacting our government – and our nation’s – cybersecurity,” said Caroline Boyd, principal, government programs at MeriTalk. “We’re pleased to be able to recognize their innovation, commitment, and outstanding achievements.”
Rucker has dedicated himself and his career to the government mission. He is devoted and passionate about engaging government leaders to cooperatively construct and innovate a potent cyber defense for federal entities, and in building true public-private partnership.
MeriTalk said it created these awards to recognize the people driving innovation and advancing our nation’s cybersecurity at a time when technological advancements and increased sophistication of cyberattacks are highlighting both the value of and the need for greater cyber resiliency.
