Trustwave's David Broggy Honored for the Third Time with Microsoft's Most Valuable Professional Award

For the third consecutive year, Microsoft has awarded Trustwave's David Broggy, Senior Solutions Architect, Implementation Services, its Most Valuable Professional (MVP) Award.

Broggy received the award in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the Microsoft Security community for:

  • Cloud Security (Microsoft Defender for Cloud, Azure network security products, GitHub Advanced Security)
  • Azure Cost, Resource & Configuration Management

Microsoft awards this honor annually to a select group of technology leaders who share a deep commitment to the Microsoft Security services community and have a willingness to help others. The MVP program recognizes exceptional community leaders for their technical expertise, leadership, speaking experience, online influence, and commitment to solving real-world problems.

"Two years on as an MVP and so much has changed in cybersecurity", Broggy said. "It's wonderful to have this channel to share new ideas with the community. I'm very excited to show people how AI has changed the way I work as a cyber defender."

Broggy added that what is a huge driver and helps keep him fully engaged with his Microsoft work is the joy he feels from learning something new and sharing it with others.

"I'm working with a customer now who is as excited about AI as I am, so when I build something cool that benefits them, they get excited and it inspires me to keep learning", he said.

Becoming a Microsoft MVP

The Microsoft MVP Award is a global program that recognizes technology experts and community leaders who consistently and innovatively share their knowledge. These individuals play a crucial role in supporting developers and IT Pro communities worldwide, helping them learn, build, and effectively use Microsoft products.

For future community leaders seeking this recognition, the Microsoft MVP Program looks for several key qualities. An MVP must demonstrate strong community leadership and influence, possess significant technical expertise, act as a dedicated advocate for the technical community, and contribute to the overall success of Microsoft products.

Achieving MVP status opens up a wealth of opportunities for recipients like Broggy. MVPs get the chance to meet with Microsoft executives, network with their peers, and further position themselves as leaders within the technical community. Additionally, they receive early access to technology through various Microsoft programs, ensuring they remain at the cutting edge in the software and hardware industries.
