Taking a look back at the history of Black Hat USA (established in 1997), we realized that a lot has changed in the world of cybercrime since the early days of this major industry event. So at Black Hat 2013, we asked 426 attendees to take a trip down memory lane and also to help us predict the future by way of a survey.
We found that:
Pagers are the technology of the past attendees missed the most
Email and social media are preferred starting points when it comes to hacking an executive
Knowing attacker methods and motivations is half the battle when it comes to cybercrime
